In an informal conversation with journalists at the IHC, Imran said that NAB officials treated him well but he was hit on the head while being arrested. He further stated that he was unable to get in touch with his wife Bushra Bibi.

He believes that martial law has been declared in the country.
Awan Claims Threats to Imran’s Life
PTI lawyer Babar Awan claimed that a police team from Lahore had left for Islamabad to arrest Imran in “new cases”. He alleged that two to three people in the incumbent administration were worried because if Imran Khan is released, their jobs would be in danger.
Awan reiterated there were threats to Imran’s life, adding that Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah had also said the same. “Why are they then so adamant to arrest Imran? Let me tell you, any attempt to arrest Imran again will be unconstitutional.” He also claimed that “special people” were hired to “hunt” the PTI chief and that those who sent the ex-prime minister to jail were responsible for the violence in the country.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted Chairman Imran Khan bail in the Al-Qadir Trust case, a day after the Supreme Court declared his arrest from the IHC premises as “invalid and unlawful.”
The division bench of Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz heard the bail plea of PTI Chief Imran Khan at courtroom No. 2.
Imran’s lawyers had filed four additional pleas urging the IHC to club all cases against him and direct authorities to provide details of the cases registered against him.
The hearing had a two-hour delay as officials conducted a security sweep outside the courtroom. However, they were stopped shortly after they began at 1 pm due to Friday prayers. Judges had left the courtroom after “pro-Imran” slogans were raised.
When the hearing resumed after 2:30 pm, Imran was present in the courtroom with his legal team, and his lawyer Khawaja Haris presented his arguments. Haris contended before the court that the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) action was illegal and that NAB could only issue an arrest warrant after the inquiry had formally turned into an investigation.
He stated that the PTI had learned of NAB’s formal investigation against Imran through media reports. Haris also noted that Imran had approached the IHC on May 9 to seek the NAB report in the inquiry, but he was arrested before he could enter the courtroom.
The court asked the petitioner if he had received a questionnaire in connection with the case, to which Haris replied in the negative. The court instructed the NAB prosecutor general and Imran’s lawyers to prepare for the next hearing, saying that it would then decide whether to cancel or extend Imran’s bail.
In an informal conversation with journalists at the IHC, Imran stated that NAB officials treated him “fine” but that he was hit on the head during his arrest. He also said that he could not get in touch with his wife Bushra Bibi and asked the NAB team to let him talk to her.
Imran further said that he had been sitting in the high court, and NAB officials had no reason to arrest him. “I was abducted, and they showed me the warrant for the first time when they took me to jail. This happens in the law of the jungle and the army abducts. Where did the police go? Where did the law go?” he asked.
