Islamabad: On July 29, a news report stated that Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, the President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), has urged the CDA to Develop Blue Area dedicated to fostering trade expansion. This move aims to provide support for trade operations and stimulate economic advancement.
CDA to Develop Blue Area
The President of ICCI emphasized the significance of the largest commercial center in Islamabad, known as the Blue Area, stating that its progress will play a pivotal role in driving the economy forward. During the meeting, it was communicated that parking poses a significant challenge in the Blue Area. To address this issue, the ICCI President suggested permitting parking on the green area of Fazal Haq Road until the construction of the parking plaza is finalized.

Raja Hassan Akhtar, President of the Blue Area Traders Welfare Association, highlighted critical concerns impacting traders in the market. He identified the lack of parking facilities, inadequate sewerage systems, and non-operational streetlights as the primary challenges requiring urgent attention from the CDA. Akhtar also proposed the creation of a flower market in the Blue Area and stressed the importance of tree pruning.
