Lahore Qalandar won Psl8 , the defending champions of Pakistan Super League (PSL), have clinched their second consecutive title after defeating Multan Sultans by 1 runs in a thrilling final at Karachi on March 18, 2023.
Qalandars Led by Shaheen Shah Afridi had an Absolute thriller roller coaster ride for psl8 they won 7 out of 10 from the group stage matches
The Sultans, led by Mohammad Rizwan, had a remarkable campaign in PSL8, winning nine out of their 11 matches and topping the points table with 18 points. They also had the best net run rate (+1.234) among all the teams.
Rizwan was adjudged as both man of the match and man of the series for his outstanding performance throughout PSL8. He scored a total of 543 runs at an average of 60.33 and a strike rate of 140.10 with six fifties.
Lahore Qalandar won Psl8 have become only the second team after Islamabad United who played and won back-to-back PSL Final. They have also earned a spot in the Champions League T20 later this year.
